VeriFyve provides general consumer fraud-awareness information, educational content, and automated risk signals. It does not constitute legal, financial, investment, tax, insurance, medical, or law-enforcement advice, and it is not a substitute for professional judgment. Always consult a qualified attorney, financial advisor, your bank, or appropriate authorities before acting on any matter that has legal or financial consequences.

1a. Scope of analysis & acceptable use

VeriFyve is built to analyze text messages, emails, chat transcripts, listings, websites, and screenshots of those communications for situational scam, phishing, and social-engineering risk. It is not a content moderation, image classification, adult-content, or harassment-evaluation service.

Submissions that contain profanity, hate speech, abusive language, nudity, sexually explicit imagery, or other adult or graphic content will not be analyzed, scored, saved to your case history, or shared to the community feed. Such uploads are blocked at intake and any associated artifacts are discarded. No risk verdict, "safe" indication, or scam assessment should be inferred from a blocked submission — the absence of analysis is not an endorsement of the content.

You agree not to use VeriFyve to upload, store, or transmit unlawful, sexually explicit, harassing, or abusive material, or to attempt to bypass these filters. Repeated or intentional misuse may result in suspension or termination of your account. If you believe content was blocked in error, use the in-app "Report to admin" link on the warning screen.

2. No warranty; "as is"

VeriFyve is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted operation. Risk scores, classifications, and recommendations are generated automatically and may be incorrect. You are solely responsible for decisions you make and actions you take.

3. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeriFyve, its operators, affiliates, officers, employees, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. In any event, our aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.

4. No attorney–client or fiduciary relationship

Use of VeriFyve does not create an attorney–client, fiduciary, broker, agent, or confidential relationship between you and VeriFyve. Communications through the service are not privileged.

5. Trademarks & non-affiliation

VeriFyve references third-party organizations, government agencies, brands, products, and services for identification, education, comparison, and reporting purposes only. Such references are protected nominative fair use and do not imply any affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or connection.

VeriFyve may link to third-party websites, agencies, or resources. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, security, or practices. Use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.

7. User-submitted content

You are responsible for any text, screenshots, links, or other content you submit. Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringes third-party rights, contains malware, or includes sensitive personal data of others without authorization. You grant VeriFyve a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process your submissions solely to provide and improve the service, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service — including by reverse engineering, scraping at scale, attacking infrastructure, impersonating others, or using outputs to harass, defame, or defraud any person or entity.

9. DMCA & takedown

To submit a copyright or trademark notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, contact our designated agent at legal@verifyve.app with the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VeriFyve and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the service or your violation of these terms.

10A. Partner API and embeddable widget

VeriFyve offers a Partner API and an embeddable widget for financial institutions and other partners. Use of the API and widget is subject to a separate written agreement and any usage quotas, rate limits, and key-rotation requirements assigned to the partner. Partners are responsible for their own end-user disclosures, consent flows, data handling, and compliance with applicable law. VeriFyve may suspend or terminate access for abuse, security risk, exceeded quotas, or breach of the partner agreement.

10B. Public sharing, Trends, and Validator badges

Posts you choose to share publicly — including in the Trends feed and on shareable report URLs — become accessible to anyone with the link and may be indexed or re-shared by third parties. The Validator Shield badge and tier (including star count and Elite status) are awarded automatically based on your sharing activity and are publicly visible alongside your shared posts. You are responsible for redacting sensitive content before sharing. You may request removal of a shared post or opt out of the badge program at any time in Settings or by contacting legal@verifyve.app.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, U.S.A., without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

12. Changes

We may update these disclaimers from time to time. Continued use of VeriFyve after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
